counting down

some of my favorite things in miami...

and they're just a month and a half away!:

1.

2 of the 3 urban outfitters addresses in miami. sunset is the closest to my aunt's house [aka my digs for a few weeks in july]. while i'm not interning, i'll probably be begging for spare change so i can buy a pair of jellies or a set of candy-colored mugs that i really don't need.

2.
american apparel at lincoln road. i like the layout of this aa better than most of the ones i've been to...and the sales associates aren't bitchy. whew.

3.
ummhellzyes books & books. if it weren't for my love of clothes, i would end up spending all of my paycheck in one visit.

4.
fairchild gardens. this picture is from the chihuly installation i saw 2 spring breaks ago. fairchild is gorgeous, but the big, nasty iguanas running around still creep me out.

5.
un cortadito, por favor. [or however you say it in eeeespaneeesh]. cuban coffee/espresso is my crack.

any other suggestions for me while i'm in miami?

i have no idea what the nightlife consists of other than what "the bird cage" consists of.

1. i got an internship at a graphic design firm down in miami for july!!  hometown, here i come!

2. cgs2060 aka computer literacy aka the class from hell is dreadfully boring, and i have 5 more weeks of it.  on tuesday during "recitation," our assignment was to create a new folder under "local disk c:," then "create a masterpiece" in paint, title it "masterpiece.bmp," put it in the new folder, change the name of the "masterpiece" into "artwork.bmp," copy it into a new folder called "backup," then delete the entire backup folder.

oy to the vay. 

this is going to be a long 5-6 weeks.

3. i pretty much have my heart set on going to lollapalooza [chicago, august 1-3].

tickets are running at $190 at the moment [advance 3-day pass]...

but the hotel/hostel payments is where i'm going to get hit where it hurts [my bank account].

any suggestions?

the arlington house hostel is the most promising at this point [$79 a night for a private room with a private bath].

got any family members or friends i [and le boyfriend miles] could stay with [yes i plan on dragging him along]?

last night's epi of gossip girl

my blood pressure went through the ROOF.

and now i'm biting my nails til next week's episode.

basically:

serena tells dan she slept with someone else to cover up for the whole "i killed someone" thing.

i almost died.

"NONONONO."

in case ya can't tell, serena's mom is gonna do it with dan's dad.

at this point i was screaming at the tv, "YES! YES! DO IT WITH THE SEXY MUSICIAN!"

poor chuck's dad.

then things got really screwy and awful again.

what came out was something like, "NONONO! DAN WHAT THE EFF ARE YOU DOING?! DAMN YOU, MICHELLE TRACHTENBURG!" [or however you spell her last name]

and this is from the preview for next week's episode.
