I look for peace but see I don't attain

My recently found and miraculously cured iPod has been crammed full of summertime music by the likes of Blink 182, Common, Snoop, Passion Pit, etc., but there's not one artist I love more at the moment than Kid Cudi.

I mean, just look at him!:

Down to earth and a downright sweetheart, what's not to love?

Check out Whitney Spaner's Sounds of Summer story on him over at papermag.com (or click here).

I hear he's destined to appear on a new HBO show in fall. Eee!

"I don't go in the booth like, ‘I gotta make a rap song.' I kind of just do whatever feels right, and it's always just off emotion."

Yessir.

It's time for Miles to make a new frieeeeend!

designed for good

While at Harvest of Hope Fest in St. Augustine a few weeks ago, I bought a shirt from an organization called Rosa Loves.

RL raises money for a variety of different causes through selling awesome shirts.  They say, "Each story will be told through stimulating graphics and actual text that will appear on the inverse of the shirt directly in line with the heart, where the Rosa Loves movement stems from.  Rosa Loves is less about charity and more about awareness, awareness that we are all apart of something greater and are therefore joined by common threads."

Need a creative gift idea for your bestie's birthday?
Rosa Loves has got you covered (literally).
Look good AND feel good!

The above design is called "Ms. Pearl," and the proceeds from its sale pay for supplies and labor needed to repair and sustain the Musicians' Bunkhouse in New Orleans.

I hope Miles isn't reading this post because "Ms. Pearl" is his birthday present!

For more information on Rosa Loves (yes, they offer internships!), look here.

forget me knot

I can't remember if I've posted about Kiel Mead, but I LOVE his work. Freck Specs, ABC gum necklaces, birdie lights...hey, he even makes a retainer hanging from a chain look good.

So when Miles (boyfriend) gave me this for our 3 year anniv last November, I was ecstatic:

Eeeee I love it so much.

For more of his work, check out his website, kielmead.com.

backpacking

Speaking of UO,
this Lil J-esque PVC backpack caught my eye when it went up for sale online the other day.

It could be perfect for my (and Miles') adventures around Paris and London this May, no?

hey boyfriend, get famous already

Le boyfriend is an up and coming jazz/rock drummer, and I'm just waiting for the day til I get to meet this man because of my connections:

Lovelovelove (even though he wants to change his name to Martin Louie the King, Jr. -- good grief).
