Dare I say...hubbahubba?
Lookin' good, Chuckers/Eddie.

[note to GG writers: put this man in a kilt more often, please...maybe for spring formal?]

Viv killed it last night as well (picture to come later).

hello, hitchcock

Whoa mama.

Once again, I'm mesmerized by another LORICK collection.
Fall 09 is lookin' fine, my friends.

Check out the lookbook:

Art/Design Director Rosanne Adams:
"We had the pleasure of working with photographer Tom Hines for the LORICK Fall ‘09 lookbook /campaign shoot. This season LORICK was inspired by the dark drama of certain Italian and French New Wave films like Truffaut’s The Bride Wore Black. Channeling this inspiration into our shoot we used narrative devices like suspense, the tension of a love triangle, some disturbing Hitchcockian death scenes, and the stormy day was a coincidence."

--

I stayed on the Fall 09 collection page forever just listening to the sweet melodies of Dave Thomas. So entrancing.

Here's a video of him playing at the LORICK show during NYFW:

forget me knot

I can't remember if I've posted about Kiel Mead, but I LOVE his work. Freck Specs, ABC gum necklaces, birdie lights...hey, he even makes a retainer hanging from a chain look good.

So when Miles (boyfriend) gave me this for our 3 year anniv last November, I was ecstatic:

Eeeee I love it so much.

For more of his work, check out his website, kielmead.com.

Welcome to Droolfest 09.
Scanner + sandwiches = SCANWICHES.
So brilliant, so tasty (looking).

UO deserves a big THANK YOU for sharing this nomz-for-the-eyes with everyone.

"no thinking for a little while"

This is probably one of my top 3 favorite songs right now (or...ever).
I got the chance to see The National over Spring Break at HOH Fest in St. Augustine.
AH-MAY-ZING.
Matt Berninger got shhhwasted and banged two wine bottles together to the beat during part of their set.
Ahh, it was magical.

Enjoy "Fake Empire":

...love it.

monsters vs. aliens vs. rodarte

Reese Witherspoon showed up at the L.A. premier of Monsters vs. Aliens in one of the latest looks from Rodarte!  And by latest, I mean that it's not supposed to be out until Fall 09.  Aiyee.

Thoughts?

I think she looks great, but she should have worn some fantastic boots and a dramatic hairstyle (maybe something pulled back or asymmetrical) to complete the ensemble a little better.

the monster mash

PLEASE tell me I'm not the last person to hear about this?!

A movie version of Maurice Sendak's WHERE THE WILD THINGS ARE?!?

Ok, sorry.  I'm still in love-struck shock.

It's being directed by Spike Jonze, and it was written by Dave Eggers.
Awesome?  Check.

Some of the stars include Forest Whitaker (who was in my dream last night? WHAT?), Paul Dano, Catherine Keener, Catherine O'Hara, and James Gandolfini.
Hella awesome?  Check.

And it comes out in October.

Um, I quite possibly might where a Max costume, crown and all.

...can you tell I'm excited?
