the monster mash

PLEASE tell me I'm not the last person to hear about this?!

A movie version of Maurice Sendak's WHERE THE WILD THINGS ARE?!?

Ok, sorry.  I'm still in love-struck shock.

It's being directed by Spike Jonze, and it was written by Dave Eggers.
Awesome?  Check.

Some of the stars include Forest Whitaker (who was in my dream last night? WHAT?), Paul Dano, Catherine Keener, Catherine O'Hara, and James Gandolfini.
Hella awesome?  Check.

And it comes out in October.

Um, I quite possibly might where a Max costume, crown and all.

...can you tell I'm excited?

Starbucks and Us Weeklys and Blackberrys, OH MY!

Ah, don't we all want to channel our inner Olsen twin?

excuse me. WHAT?!

How did I miss this?
I repeat: HOW DID I MISS THIS?!

Damn you, Lady Gaga.
Platinum, brunette, pink, or zebra stripes, you look amazingly coo coo for cocoa puffs all day, every day.

And you own a bra that gives you disco ball boobs.
So jeal.
[I'm not even going to try to DIY that one]

vs.

The celebs are out and about at Milan Fashion Week, but not everyone is victorious on the fashion playing field.

In this corner, the lovely Freida Pinto:

And in this corner, her opponent Peaches Geldof:

Both are going with the creme a la noir "look," but Peaches is left in Freida's shadow.

Freida looks gracefully edgy (I love the appliques), but Peaches (known for her "edginess") just looks, well, bland.
It's not that the outfit isn't cute, it's just that this is MILAN Fashion Week. Dress to impress, ya know?

What do you lovelies think?

animationawesome.

One of my beloved bands, Death Cab for Cutie (of course you've heard of them) released an animated video for their Grapevine Fires tune.

Here's a still:

And here's the link to the video: awesome, right?

It reminds me a bit of Demetri Martin's drawings. Hmmmm.

Dejeuner sur L'HERBe is right

America's funny boys spoof Vanity Fair's 2006 cover for the April 09 issue, but why the bodysuits?

Whether baring it all, or covered up, I love it (and admit that I can't wait to see
I love you, Man.)

What do you think of this playdoh-wannabe's sales pitch?

"Let the kids build a better world."

Good message, interesting advertisement (to say the least).

Just getting in the zone, you know?
